This CD debuts 12 of Perry Como's classic Christmas favorites for the first time in STEREO.

Perry recorded all these songs in the days of 1-channel monaural (which is not a natural sound). Now, the EU label that released this treasure has used new audio technology called "DES" (Digitally Extracted Stereo) to create these brilliant new stereo mixes. Engineers can now zero in on the frequency of various instruments and vocals, separate them into individual tracks, and then mix them into stereo like a modern, multi-track recording.

The results are STUNNING.

This exciting breakthrough is a laborious and time-consuming process—akin perhaps to restoring an old master canvas that has been painted over. You hear much more detail in the original music and Perry Como really comes alive!
